Here are the main differences between the two types of BC Battery Automatic Battery Chargers and Maintainers explained

All our chargers feature the same 8-cycle automatic charging technology (initialization, recovery, soft charge, bulk charge, desulfation/absorption, analysis, maintenance, equalization); however, there are some differences that distinguish the two product ranges.

All BC chargers can be easily connected to the vehicle using the supplied cable with eyelets which should always be left connected to the battery (plug and forget connection), or using the cable with clamps also included in the package.

The advanced technology of the chargers is specifically designed to allow them to be left connected continuously, without any risk to the vehicle's electronics or the battery, and with extremely low electricity costs and consumption (max 2 euros per year for continuous use 365 days a year).

BC Battery chargers are able to recover extremely discharged batteries (from 1.25V, the lowest level on the market). Once the charging cycle is complete, they automatically switch to maintenance mode, to always guarantee a full battery charge even during long periods of inactivity: thanks to the continuous automatic control of the charge level, the charger is able to provide additional charge if necessary, so as to always keep the battery at 100%.

The equalization function, also automatically performed every month by the charger, ensures perfect distribution of the electrolyte inside the cells, thus avoiding the harmful phenomenon of stratification.

BC Battery chargers are extremely safe: protected against reverse polarity, short circuit, overload, overheating, they guarantee the absence of risks and dangers to the motorcycle, the wiring and the battery.

CARBON SERIES

The Carbon series is an improved product range compared to the previous Design version.

The CARBON series battery chargers and maintainers (3500 EVO+, 5000 EVO+, 9000 EVO+, Smart 5000+, Smart 10000+) all have these features in common:

• 3 specific charging programs (motorcycle, car, start & stop)

• more advanced software with automatic optimization of the charging curve based on the ambient temperature (for all three charging programs)

• LCD display on which you can read the battery volts in real time during charging and maintenance

• battery and alternator tester function (thanks to which it is possible to monitor the battery starting power and the correct functioning of the vehicle's alternator).

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN CARBON SERIES CHARGERS

The main difference between these models is the maximum charging current , which affects the charging speed (the higher the maximum charging current, the faster the charging will be)

Furthermore, the Smart 5000+ and Smart 10000+ models also have the POWER SUPPLY function which allows you to replace the battery without losing the parameters/data stored in the vehicle, acting as a “memory saving device”.

DESIGN SERIES

The DESIGN series chargers (Bravo 2000, Smart 2000, 3500 EVO, 9000 EVO, Duetto 1500) work with the same automatic 8-cycle charging algorithm, but have some differences compared to the Carbon models:
